Six hour lunching...

Today, I have organised to have a six hour lunch. I hope for this to be an annual, if not regular event.

We found out about the six hour lunch at a port tasting at Vino Fino. The tradition involved exactly what you'd expect from the name of it. The liquor is port and the food is plentiful and varied.

The selection today include 2 Taylors, a Kym Ryan from Torlesse, a Dows a Soljans, a Mazuran's and one from Rongopai.

From the first port we tried, the Torlesse Reserve Port, which is made in Waipara. A very smooth port. Beautiful ruby colour, very nice for a local port.

The next, which I am drinking right now is a Port from Rongopai. Not a port I would buy - Very spicy, almost like pins and needles in the mouth, and a very muddy-ish red colour.

I shall be micro-blogging, as well as adding to this post later.
